  • Business 380 Excellence Award (2017)

  • Established as a 501c3 non-profit organization

  • Initiated a Student Discount Card for Coe and Mount Mercy students for restaurants and retail businesses

  • Began redevelopment and revitalization with signs, more efficient clean-up and beautification

  • Initiated the opening of the Cedar Rapids Police Substation

  • Installment of district-wide bicycle racks

  • Installed trash receptacles along First Avenue

  • 50% reduction in crime over the past 9 years

  • College District Area Action Plan with City of Cedar Rapids

  • Facilitate development projects within the district

  • Neighborhood Clean-Up (Fall and Spring)

  • The highest number of supporting members and contributions

  • Continued cooperation with CRPD on monthly safety and security

  • Higher social media presence and posts with more engagement, event sharing, and promotions

  • Piloting quarterly e-newsletters

  • Adding newer promotional events/giveaways for the District Dollars program

  • Continued quarterly Large Group Meetings and Presidents’ Reception

  • Implementation of promotional signage initiative along CeMar Trail

  • Advocating District improvement when opportunity presents

  • Monthly meetings are held to discuss and resolve issues

  • Regularly meets with Cedar Rapids Police to discuss safety and concerns

  • Contributions are used for District-wide programming and promotion of District businesses and partners
